Goals and objectives

NA G-ROMs seminar series
The main purpose of the Numerical Analysis of Galerkin ROMs (NA G-ROMs) seminar series is to serve as a forum for the Galerkin and Petrov-Galerkin reduced order model (G-ROM) community to exchange their views on both the achievements and the “nagging” open problems in the numerical analysis of G-ROMs, e.g., proper orthogonal decomposition (POD), reduced basis method (RBM), and related techniques.
The NA G-ROMs seminar series aims at fostering the exchange of ideas among the G-ROM community members who are genuinely interested in the development of the mathematical foundations of G-ROMs and, in particular, bringing the G-ROM numerical analysis to a level comparable to that of classical numerical methods, e.g., the finite element method.
Furthermore, the NA G-ROMs seminar series aims at leveraging new mathematical results to develop the next generation of G-ROMs for industrial, geophysical, and biomedical applications.
Students and postdocs, as well as researchers from related fields (e.g., finite element and spectral methods) are especially encouraged to participate.
